Overview
Students who have their own comparable insurance coverage may submit a waiver online during the waiver period begining December 22, 2025 and closing January 30, 2026.
Please note: Students with an approved waiver for the fall semester are not required to submit a new waiver until fall 2026.
Program Eligibility: Full time Graduate Assistants, Graduate Teaching Assistants, and Graduate Research Assistants (GAs, GRAs, and GTAs) who maintain employment under one full time assistantship (0.50 FTE, 20 hours per week) or two half time assistantships (each must be at least 0.25 FTE, 10 hours per week) are automatically enrolled in the FAU Student Health Insurance Plan and the Graduate College will pay 85% of the premium cost. The remaing 15% of the premium cost will be charged to the student's FAU account each semester.
STUDENT PORTION OF INSURANCE COST
Spring 2026: $247.80 for the entire semester
** Please note, students who are 65 and older are not eligible for the FAU Student Health Insurance Plan and are not required to submit a waiver.
